Meet the Founder Guiding Families Toward Emotional Wealth & Connection
Timothy Harrington is redefining how families grow, by investing in emotional well-being like they would financial wealth.
|
I created the Family WellthCare™ Coaching Program to give families the tools and strategy to invest in emotional health the same way they would financial wealth, proactively, intentionally, and for generations to come.
With more than 20 years of experience in family coaching, I’ve developed a strategic and compassionate approach that sees family systems as living ecosystems--complex, relational, and always evolving. Just like ecosystems need balance and care, families need intentional support, clear tools, and a customized framework to grow stronger together. As the co-founder of Wide Wonder, I’ve spent my career advocating for families while dismantling stigma around mental health and substance use. My passion lies in creating safe, shame-free spaces where families can strengthen connection, navigate life transitions, and access the kind of support that sustains, not just survives. Family WellthCare™ Coaching is not a treatment, it’s a transformation strategy. I meet families exactly where they are, offering tools that match their values, honor their unique story, and support the relationships that matter most. Whether your family is navigating stress, miscommunication, or uncertainty about the future, I’ll help you build a stronger foundation, one that supports long-term resilience and emotional wellth for every member of your family. Every strong family starts with a plan. Let’s build yours together. |
Coaching in the Family WellthCare™ Framework
A Strategic, Strengths-Based Guide to Connection and Growth
In the Family WellthCare™ Coaching model, coaching isn’t about fixing what’s broken, it’s about guiding families toward what’s possible. Unlike traditional therapy, which often focuses on unpacking the past, this approach emphasizes the present and future, helping families set meaningful goals, develop actionable strategies, and strengthen the relationships that matter most.
For families navigating relational stress, emotional injury, or life transitions, coaching offers a proactive path forward. It helps rebuild trust, improve communication, and create a shared vision of emotional well-being, what I call emotional wealth. Through compassionate accountability and customized strategies, families move from survival mode into sustainable connection, resilience, and growth.
Coaching becomes your family’s roadmap, a relational strategy designed to help each member thrive, together.

My Mission
Empowering Families to Reclaim Strength, Trust, and Emotional Wellth
My mission is to foster family resilience and renewal in the face of emotional injury, relational breakdown, and misunderstood challenges, including Substance Use Disorder and mental health struggles.
I believe families deserve more than crisis intervention, they deserve guidance that honors their strengths and equips them to move forward with purpose. Through personalized coaching, I help families reconnect, rebuild trust, and reclaim their capacity for healing and growth.
With a non-clinical, holistic approach, I aim to shift the narrative from stigma and diagnosis to emotional investment, shared leadership, and long-term well-being.

My Vision
A World Where Emotional Health Is Treated Like a Legacy
I envision a world where families are no longer defined by their struggles, diagnoses, or breakdowns, but by their capacity to grow, lead, and love together.
In this future, families are empowered with the tools, language, and support to navigate challenge as a team. They build emotional wealth that lasts for generations.
Through Family WellthCare Coaching, I aim to redefine what’s possible for families, offering a proactive model that replaces shame with strength, and isolation with connection. I’m committed to helping families not just get through adversity, but rise because of it.

My Core Values: The Foundation of Family WellthCare Coaching
At the heart of everything I do is a set of core values that guide every conversation, every plan, and every step a family takes toward lasting connection. These values don’t just reflect how I work, they reflect what I believe about people, possibility, and the power of relationships.
Compassion is my compass. It allows me to truly witness families in their full context, without judgment, without assumption. I hold space for stories to unfold with dignity and care.
Empathy fuels connection. I believe in meeting families exactly where they are, with deep respect for the pain they carry and the strength they may not yet see in themselves.
Respect is non-negotiable. Every family’s story is unique, and I treat that uniqueness as sacred, never rushed, never pathologized.
Belonging is essential. Families thrive when they feel seen, heard, and accepted. I work to co-create environments where safety and trust allow for real growth to emerge.
Transparency builds trust. I believe honesty and clarity are essential, not just in the coaching relationship, but in how families learn to communicate with each other.
Collaboration leads to transformation. True change happens when families work together, not when one person is singled out or blamed.
Empowerment is the heartbeat of it all. My work is not about fixing, it’s about helping families harness their strengths and rewrite their story with intention, connection, and emotional wealth.
